Massey Ferguson has raised the bar with the Hesston 2900 Series of round hay balers and they’ve made significant improvements in the way they’ve been manufacturing this specific model. This new baler is built to maximize efficiency on all levels, including the advanced C1000 monitor that provides real-time bale monitoring. Their exclusive Quad Cylinder System (QCS) delivers absolute control over belt and bale tension, and the proprietary torsion axle system ensures a smoother ride, greater stability and faster operating speeds. They’re also one of the only manufacturers in North America to offer fully automatic balers — the Hesston 2946A and Hesston 2956A Auto-Cycle™ models.

Innovation
The Hesston Quad Cylinders System keeps belt tension steady, even when ejecting bales – for fewer belt problems and better bale density in the end. In addition, the 2900’s higher capacity, positive rotor feeding includes side augers to simplify the drive system and provide a much more dependable performance.
Capability
These balers deliver dense, square-shouldered bales by packing the open-throat vertical chamber all the way to the edges. In addition, the renowned drive system is simple and strong with only 5 chains and the exclusive reversible 540 or 1,000 gear box. The 2900 Series takes on wide windrows with ease while maximizing leaf retention with a wide, low-profile pickup and centering augers.
Comfort
This Hesston model includes industry exclusive rubber torsion axle which absorbs the shock of an uneven field and unstable road conditions, allowing greater speed efficiency and improved comfort. These round balers also offer an industry leading ground level mesh system. Reloads can be finished in less than 30 seconds and are as simple as inserting a fresh roll, tucking the mesh tail and then closing the mesh brake. Reloads can be easily completed by one person with no tools, which inevitably reduces down time.
