Performance

The Massey Ferguson 1800 series of compact tractors offer plenty of weight to tackle heavy-duty jobs for more stability when working on uneven ground or with heavier implements and attachments. This is thanks to a solid cast rear-end and front axle.

These Massey Ferguson compact tractors feature a smooth PTO action through the SoftStart modulation, which reduces abrupt jolts, lessens wear and tear and reduces your chance of downtime. Also helping provide a smooth, chatter-free actuation is the electro hydraulically controlled standard 540 RPM rear PTO and the optional 2000 RPM mid-mount PTO.

Implements are easy to hook up on these compact tractors with the standard rear 3-point Cat I or I/II hitch. You will also find the 1800 M offers generous lift capacities.

Ease of Use

The Massey Ferguson 1800 Series features easy to access service points, including the ground-accessible fuel-tank filler for convenient fuel fill-ups. The 1800 Series on compact tractors are also easy to engage and disengage the PTO from the rear of the tractor with the rear-mounted stationary PTO switch. This is especially helpful when using an auger, wood splitter or generator. These compact tractors also feature a quick-attach loader.  

Drivetrain

Change direction fast and easy on these Massey Ferguson compact tractors with the handy shuttle-shift lever on the steering column. This is ideal for loader work. An auto-throttle feature standard on the hydrostatic transmission give efficiency a boost on the 1800 Series. Auto-throttle automatically raises the engine speed to match your ground speed, so you have the power needed to keep pace. Also standard on the hydrostatic transmission is a cruise control feature. With this feature, you can set a precise working speed. Pressing down on the brake pedal or the forward pedal quickly disengages this system. And when you need extra traction for tough jobs and difficult conditions, look no further than the 1800 Series easy to use four-wheel drive. Simply push the lever down to engage and up to disengage.
