Massey Ferguson’s 1700 series of compact tractors are equipped with 3- or 4-cylinder Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Tier 4 diesel engines. The largest in their class, these engine deliver higher reserve torque and more efficient use of horsepower.
Available on the 1736, 1742, 1749, 1754 & 1759 models, the 12x12 power shuttle transmission provides you with a wide range of working and road speeds. The electronically-controlled hydrostatic transmission, offered of the 1736, 1742, 1749, 1749, 1754 & 1758 models, is even simpler, allowing you to achieve infinite speeds without shifting gears. It’s just like driving an automatic car – press the pedal and go.
A simple twist of a knob on the dash allows you to engage a 540 RPM independent rear PTO.
Comfort of the Massey 1700 Series Tractor
With the 1700 series of compact tractors, you can choose between an open station or a deluxe factory-installed cab. The cabs feature two lockable doors, a rubber-coated flat foot deck, a suspended seat with armrest and come standard with HVAC. The open station models feature tilt-steering, an isolation-mounted flat platform and intuitive controls.
