Marysville Tractor & Equipment Co. is formed by Daniel W Beatie, operating as a Cat dealer selling track-type tractors in the agricultural industry. |
| 1939 | Parker M. Holt & Harry D. Holt open Holt Bros., another Cat dealer covering Santa Maria, CA. |
| 1955 | Ken Beatie becomes President & General Manager of Marysville Tractor. |
| 1962 | Holt Bros. takes over the Modesto territory from Valley Tractor Co., including locations in Los Banos and Merced. The service territory now covers six counties in the San Joaquin Valley. While agriculture is the main industry, logging and construction contribute to the company’s yearly sales volume. |
| 1962 | Meanwhile, Marysville Tractor expands its territory to Sacramento, Yolo and part of Solano counties, adding locations in Sacramento and Woodland. |
| 1963 | Marysville Tractor & Equipment Co. changes its name to Tenco Tractor, Inc., which is derived from the 10 counties the company’s territory covers. The company now has locations in Marysville, Robbins, Sacramento and Woodland. This year, the business changes from a predominantly agricultural customer base to an industrial one. |
| 1982 | Holt of California starts selling Kubota agricultural equipment in Northern California. |
| 1987 | Holt of California started selling Caterpillar Challenger Belted Tractors, a purpose built agricultural belted tractors. |
| 1997 | Holt of California started selling CAT Combines through a joint venture with Caterpillar and CLAAS to sell Lexion Combines in North America. |
| 2002 | Holt of California officially becomes an AGCO and CLAAS dealer. |
| 2004 | The Ag Division of Holt of California is created. |
| 2006 | Holt California celebrates its 75-year anniversary while employing over 700 employees in 14 locations. |
| 2007 | Holt of California acquires Hoover Tractor in Woodland, CA and opens its first standalone Ag Division location. |
| 2011 | The Ag Division rebrands as Holt Ag Solutions, and the first dedicated Holt Ag Solutions location is acquired in Modesto, CA. |
| 2013 | Holt Ag Solutions is awarded CLAAS Dealer of the Year and continues to be recognized as a top dealer by CLAAS to the present day. |
| 2013 | CLAAS celebrates 100 years. |
| 2015 | Holt Ag Solutions purchases a Kubota Location in Woodland, CA, and moves to the new facility on Kentucky Ave. That same year, we acquire a Massey Ferguson dealer in Merced, CA, and began operations. |
| 2017 | Holt Ag Solutions purchased the Kubota dealership in Willows, CA |
| 2019 | Richvale location opens to better serve Northern California rice growers. |
| 2019 | Also in 2019, Holt Ag Solutions acquired the full Northern California territory and Western Oregon, including five locations in Albany, Salem, Banks, Madras and Merrill. |
| 2020 | Holt Ag Solutions becomes the market leader in the commercial hay industry to the present day. |
| 2024 | The Madras location relocates to Prineville, and a brand-new facility is built in Salem, OR. |
